During bike tours, it is crucial to know what to pack. The “how to pack” would be another blog. My motto is ‘need’ not ‘want’. I pack only the things I need and nothing more. The good thing about bike touring in the Philippines is that there is always a ‘sari-sari’ store, a convenience store or a mall along the way to get supplies, unless you know for sure that you can’t get it anywhere, then bring it. In my case, I always bring a tampon.
Travel light, Live light, Spread the light, Be the light.
Clothes for 3 days and beyond.
Pack and roll the clothes you won’t wear.
Seal clothes in a reusable ziplock bag to keep dry
Bike gears: All gears go inside the Zefal bottle container except the interior, hand pump, and computer.
Camp Vibes Spice: Salt and herbs.
Bath kit: I refill old shampoo containers with my own concoction of shampoo and liquid bath soap.
Others: Bringing a dry bag can save you from using plastic.
Extra bags: These bags come handy when you need to place your bike under a bus and you need a bag to carry all your loose gears.
I use my iPhone4s to take photos and videos. That’s it.
